Township home ransacked, jewelry, gun taken

A Bloomfield Township resident whose garage door opener “went missing’ came home on Monday, March 1, to find his home burglarized, police said.


Officers responded about 4 p.m. to the report of a home invasion in the 600 block of Adams Road where the victim said he arrived home from work and found his garage door open. Upon entering the home, he said he discovered it was “ransacked.”


Police said a handgun, jewelry and a gaming console were reported missing. The victim told police his garage door opener “went missing” about a week prior to the burglary.


Investigators ask anyone with information about the crime to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755


Bloomfield Township police said the incident is under investigation.
