Township library invitation to reading challenge
The Bloomfield Township Public Library is inviting readers of all ages to participate in their Winter Reading Challenge, a fun reading program from now through January 31, 2022, designed to engage all age groups in exploring new ideas, books and activities.
Those participating can read books and win prizes.
The library uses Beanstack, a free online service that allows readers of all ages to log their reading, participate in activities, read and write reviews, earn badges, and enter prize drawings. Besides logging the books read, participants can also earn badges by completing activities such as using one of the library’s downloadable resources, following the library on social media, or sharing something they’ve discovered about the library with a friend or family member.
For readers who want more variety, there’s an optional additional challenge to help guide your reading and earn extra badges, with activities such as reading a book recommended to you by someone else, reading a book published in 2021, or reading a book that’s been made into a movie or TV show.
Anyone interested in participating in the Winter Reading Challenge can register with Beanstack by visiting btpl.beanstack.org. Readers have until January 31, 2022 to log their activity and enter any prize drawings that interest them.
