Traffic stop leads to arrest of Detroit resident

A 19-year-old woman from Detroit was arrested on Saturday, December 9, for an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop for speeding in Birmingham.

As noted in a Birmingham police report, a patrol officer saw the woman speeding northbound on South Eton at Holland, with radar confirming she was traveling 16 miles per hour over the speed limit. The officer pulled the driver over and conducted a background check on the driver, which showed she had an arrest warrant out of Farmington Hills for a felony larceny charge.

According to police, she was issued a citation for speeding and arrested for the outstanding warrant. She was then transferred to the Farmington Hills Police Department.
