Three individuals were arrested by Detroit Police the evening of Tuesday, July 13, after allegedly stealing several items from a Birmingham grocery store located on the 600 block of E. Maple.

The theft was reported to Birmingham police by an individual who claimed a man walked into the store, put several bottles of alcohol into his cart along with other items, then left the store without paying. Later on, Detroit police were making a traffic stop when they found the man with two others who were reportedly involved in the incident.

Birmingham police reported that all three were arrested and issued citations for retail fraud.
