A pair of women were arrested in Birmingham in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 24, after a minor collision with a curb caused city police to perform field sobriety tests, with both women failing.
According to the police report, officers saw two different cars stopped at the 300 block of N Old Woodward, one stuck on a curb and the other parked nearby. The driver of the car stuck on the curb reportedly failed the field sobriety test after officers smelled intoxicants on her. Police also report that she was uncooperative, leading to them issuing citations for operating while intoxicated, resisting/obstructing and PBT refusal.
The driver of the other car told officers she didn’t know the driver, but she was letting her charge her phone in her car. Officers reported they suspect her of also being intoxicated, and she ended up failing the field sobriety tests too. They report she was arrested and cited for operating while intoxicated.
