Two firefighters injured in Bloomfield Hills fire


Crews worked for several hours to extinguish a house fire in the second-floor attic at a home in the 100 block of Lone Pine Road in Bloomfield Hills during the afternoon of Halloween, Tuesday, October 31.


The Bloomfield Hills Public Safety Department responded to the scene after the fire alarm at the home was activated and a simultaneous 911 call reporting smoke was inside the home.


Two firefighters were treated for minor injuries and released from medical care. No civilians were injured in the fire.


Bloomfield Hills Public Safety reported the cause of the fire is still under investigation.


Mutual aid was provided on this incident by the Berkley Department of Public Safety, Beverly Hills Department of Public Safety, Bloomfield Hills Public Works, Bloomfield Township Fire Department, Bloomfield Township Police Department, Clawson Fire Department, MABAS 3201 Technical Rescue, Oakland Township Fire Department, Troy Fire Department, Troy Public Works, Rapid Relief Team, and Star EMS.
