Two women arrested for thefts at Dick’s

Bloomfield Township police on Sunday, September 7, at about 7 p.m.responded to a retail fraud at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 2501 S. Telegraph Road.
Store employees observed two white females inside the store with eight children. The females selected multiple pairs of shoes, clothing, and other merchandise totaling over $820 and left the store without paying. The suspects left the area in white GMC Sierra, employees said.
Officers located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Officers identified the suspects and recovered the stolen merchandise. Officers also discovered several items that were suspected stolen from another retail store outside of the township.
Both females were placed under arrest and transported to the Bloomfield Township Police Department where they were processed. One female was released pending prosecutorial review. The other female had a warrant out of Dallas County, Texas.
Dallas County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and they advised that they would extradite her to face their charges. That female was transported to the Oakland County Jail to await extradition.
