Uber driver assaults customer in Birmingham

A woman from Auburn Hills was allegedly assaulted by her Uber driver after telling the driver to pull over for driving recklessly in Birmingham.

The victim said that on Thursday, March 14, she was taking an Uber, and shortly after the ride started, the driver, a woman from Detroit, reportedly started driving recklessly. The woman who reported the assault asked the driver to let her out of the car, but after leaving she claims the driver punched her in the back of the head.

Birmingham police report an investigation into the assault is ongoing.
