On Thursday, October 23, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Birmingham police were dispatched to the 400 block of Southfield Road, where a 41-year-old male resident reported that his vehicle was stolen from outside his home.

The victim said he parked it at 7 p.m. the previous evening, unlocked and with its key inside, and discovered it missing after being awakened by the sound of a vehicle loudly accelerating.

An investigation is ongoing.
