Birmingham police officers at approximately 2 a.m. on foot patrol were conducting business checks near the 100 block of S. Old Woodward Avenue following bar closure on Saturday, December 13, encountered an unruly customer who was cited for being a disorderly person and assault and battery.
While inside a restaurant, officers observed the suspect, a 22-year-old female from Bloomfield Hills, and two victims, a 29-year-old male from Ontario and a 23-year-old male from Fenton, arguing.
The suspect was loud enough to be heard from the rear of the crowded restaurant. Restaurant staff asked the suspect and her friends to leave, but they refused and the argument escalated.
The suspect then threw a cup filled with ice and water onto both victims. The suspect attempted to leave the restaurant but was placed under arrest by officers.
The suspect told officers that she was intoxicated. The suspect was issued a citation for disorderly person and assault and battery.
