Vase with cash stolen during home invasion

A homeowner in the 1100 block of Kemper Avenue came into the Bloomfield Township Police Department on Saturday, August 29, to report a home invasion that occurred on Friday, August 28, between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.

According to the victim, a neighbor saw an unknown black male subject knocking at her front door before walking to the backyard.


The victim returned home and found that a vase containing approximately $200 in change had been stolen. According the victim, the suspect entered the home through an unlocked back door.


The case was turned over to the Bloomfield Township Investigations Unit and is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
