Vehicle doing donuts in parking structure escapes

Birmingham police are looking for a vehicle that was seen doing “donuts” at the top level of the Park Street parking structure around 10:15 p.m. Monday, May 9.

While conducting a routine parking structure check at the Park Street structure, an officer observed a vehicle doing donuts at the top level of the parking structure. The officer immediately activated his overhead lights and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle took off speeding toward the exit, eventually proceeding through the closed exit gate and onto Park Street before traveling out of site.

The officer advised dispatch of the vehicle's last known location.

Birmingham police are continuing to investigate.
