Vehicle found damaged in attempted theft

A Birmingham officer was dispatched at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, to the 2300 block of Cole Street for an attempted vehicle theft.


The officer discovered a truck parked on the property had been damaged while left unlocked. The frame around the steering wheel was damaged and multiple tools were strewn around the floor and seat.


Birmingham police report an investigation is ongoing.
