Village Fair in Birmingham through Sunday

The popular Birmingham Village Fair, now in its 60th year, has arrived in downtown Birmingham and will be operating on the streets surrounding Shain Park through this Sunday.

Sponsored by the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce, the Village Fair features carnival rides, games and food and will benefit both the business group and 15 local nonprofits whose members help work the event.

Admission to the park is free and individual tickets for rides or wristbands for unlimited rides can be purchased at the park.

The fair hours for the weekend are Friday, May 30, from noon to 9 p.m.; Saturday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from noon until 9 p.m.
