Warren man tours homes for sale to steal items

:

A man from Warren is being investigated by Birmingham Police for allegedly requesting to tour high-value homes for sale with the intention of committing larceny.

A real estate agent from an agency in downtown Birmingham reported the man to police, saying that he used a fake pre-approval letter and refused to show a driver’s license for identification.

Birmingham police later found out that the man had previously been arrested in Shelby Township for using real estate agents to gain access to homes and steal items.

Birmingham Police said an investigation is ongoing.
