Washing machine theft from home solved

Bloomfield Hills public safety said a 30-year-old Detroit man is allegedly responsible for stealing a washing machine in February from a home in the 100 block of Linda Lane.

The theft occurred about 7:30 p.m. on February 17, when someone forced the front door of the home open and stole a washing machine.

Through investigation and efforts, including surveillance video from a neighboring home and working with other law enforcement agencies, Bloomfield Hills public safety reported they were able to develop a suspect. Investigators said the crime was similar to other home investigations in other communities.

Investigators have not released the suspect's name, pending arrest and arraignment.
