An officer was called to the 200 block of South Old Woodward, to the Daxton Hotel in downtown Birmingham, on Tuesday, August 13 around 11:30 a.m. for a larceny.
A hotel employee said a 59-year-old Waterford man entered an employee only area of the hotel and stole change from a cash drawer after rummaging around.
Birmingham police report an investigation is ongoing.
