Wheels stolen from vehicle on 14 Mile Road

A vehicle parked overnight in the 100 block of 14 Mile Road was targeted by thieves who stole its wheels and left the automobile on bricks, police said.


Birmingham police officers responded about 5:42 a.m. on Monday, September 13, to the 100 block of East 14 Mile Road where the wheels and tires were stolen from an unspecified vehicle. Police said the vehicle was left with on bricks.


The vehicle's owner told officers it was last seen intact about 6 p.m. the previous day.


Police said the wheel’s lug nuts, which didn’t have locking capabilities, were found near the vehicle. No additional information was available.
