Windows of Birmingham home found smashed

After returning home from a few hours outing, two Birmingham residents discovered their basement window smashed and a bedroom window broken around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27.

The couple, a 68-year-old and 71-year-old, living at the 300 block of Bird Avenue, reported a breaking and entering after they found the two windows broken and the basement screen slashed. When officers arrived, they checked the home and the area for any suspects or witnesses but were unsuccessful. It didn’t appear that any items were taken from or moved in the house, police reported.

Birmingham police are continuing to investigate.
