Wing Lake north of Quarton to close July 8

Wing Lake Road just north of Quarton Road in Bloomfield Township will close from July 8 through July 22 in order to allow a Bloomfield Hills Schools contractor to make improvements to the entrance of South Hills Middle School, the Road Commission of Oakland County (RCOC) announced.


During Wing Lake Road's closure, the contractor will replace the paved section of the road and work on drainage improvements in the vicinity of the school entrance.


The detour is Quarton Road to Franklin Road to Lone Pine Road and back to Wing Lake Road.


Residents living along Wing Lake Road north of the construction will need to access Wing Lake Road from Lone Pine, the RCOC advised.
