Wire cut on steering wheel of Dodge Ram

Bloomfield Township police responded to a report of a smashed driver's side window in the 43000 block of Woodward Avenue on Tuesday, December 5, and when they arrived they observed that a wire had been cut beneath the vehicle's steering wheel.

The victim's Dodge Ram was parked in the parking lot around 11:30 a.m. when the driver's side window was smashed out. When officers investigated they determined that a wire was cut beneath the Ram's steering wheel.

Police report that they believe the would-be thieves were deterred by other people in the parking lot, and the vehicle was ultimately not stolen.

This case is currently under investigation by the Bloomfield Township Police Investigations Unit. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bloomfield Township Police at 248.433.7755.
