While driving around the 30000 block of Woodward Avenue in Birmingham during the morning of Thursday, June 19, the driver and passenger got into a fight that ended with the driver being arrested by Birmingham police.

According to the police report, both the passenger, a man from Pontiac, and the driver, a woman also from Pontiac, said they got into an argument while driving that escalated to a physical fight.

The woman allegedly struck first, hitting the man with her purse, punching him and pulling his hair. The man reportedly responded in kind, punching her in the face.

Birmingham police said the woman was placed under arrest and an investigation is ongoing.
