While leaving a Birmingham grocery store in the 600 block of E. Maple, a woman was stopped by store employees the morning of Friday, March 27, after they reportedly saw her stealing multiple items by hiding them in her purse.

The store employees told Birmingham police that they saw the woman take a bottle of vodka, apple cider vinegar and rapeseed oil, put them in her purse, then leave the store.

Police reported that they issued the woman a citation for retail fraud.
