Woman jumps from car and assaults two victims

Around 2 a.m. Saturday, July 22, Birmingham police were called to the 200 block of S. Old Woodward, after two victims reported that an unknown woman had just jumped out of her vehicle and attacked them.

According to one of the victims, a friend was driving them home when another vehicle stopped their vehicle from turning. At that point, the suspect, an unknown female, got out of her vehicle and attacked the victim and the friend.

The victim claimed that the woman was someone they had seen at the bar earlier in the evening, but they were unsure why they had been attacked.

Birmingham police report there are no suspects at this time, and an investigation is ongoing.
