While attending a fundraiser lunch in Birmingham on Tuesday, August 26, a woman allegedly had her wallet stolen from inside her purse that was set on the chair next to her.

The West Bloomfield woman reported the incident to police later that afternoon saying she set her purse on the chair next to her only noticing about two hours later that the purse and contents were scattered on the floor. She said that she picked up all the items to put back in her purse and later realized her wallet was missing.

Birmingham police report there are currently no suspects, but an investigation is ongoing.
