Two women accused of stealing merchandise from a Birmingham clothing store on the block of 100 S. Old Woodward were apprehended and turned over to other police departments after city police learned they had outstanding warrants from other communities..

Birmingham police reported that they received a call about the pair, a woman from Southfield and a woman from Roseville, grabbing tons of clothing, eventually leaving the store without paying for any items. Officers were able to find the two and state they stole over $700 worth of merchandise.

While making the arrest, officers also found both women had arrest warrants issued out of other departments and they were ultimately released to the departments that held those warrants.

The name of local businesses are seldom provided by Birmingham police.
