Yukon stolen from driveway of resident's home

A 2014 GMC Yukon was stolen from the driveway of a Bloomfield Township residence during the overnight hours of Saturday, July 8, and police believe the vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside.


Bloomfield Township police officers took a report of a stolen vehicle from a resident living in the 3000 block of Peabody Drive. The resident said their 2014 GMC Yukon was stolen from their driveway. They believe the vehicle had been left unlocked overnight, and that the keys were inside the vehicle.


Bloomfield Township police said the case is currently under investigation by the investigations unit. They ask anyone with information regarding the case to contact the department's non-emergency line at 248.433.7755.


Bloomfield Township Police Department reminds residents to always lock their car doors, remove valuables and never to leave keys or fobs inside the vehicle.
