Birmingham police arrested a Detroit woman the afternoon of Thursday, August 13, at a grocery store in the 600 block of E. Maple after allegedly pushing a cart of stolen items into the parking lot and walking away towards Maple Road. The police report stated that officers found the woman and found drug paraphernalia and credit cards belonging to other people on her at the time. No charges were indicated in the report, but the woman was placed under arrest.

After stealing over $200 worth of liquor from a Birmingham grocery store in the 600 block of E. Maple the night of Tuesday, August 4, a man was arrested and handed off to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding warrant. The man was seen leaving the grocery store with a canvas bag full of liquor bottles, according to a customer, and was last seen at the bus stop near Woodward and Maple. After leaving her car unlocked and unattended for about a half hour, a Birmingham woman’s backpack with her laptop inside had been stolen from the interior of her car. An Oak Park woman driving through Birmingham the morning of Friday, August 7, was stopped for speeding and ultimately arrested after city police officers found she had an outstanding warrant from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
