House ransacked while owners away

Bloomfield Township homeowners discovered their home had been broken into on Wednesday, January 3, sometime between 2 and 6 p.m., while they were away.

The residents, who live in the 700 block of Upper Scotsborough Way, came home and discovered their front door had been forced open. A bedroom was ransacked, and jewelry was stolen.

Bloomfield Township police are investigating.
