Bicycle stolen from home on Dorchester Road

A stolen bicycle now in the possession of the Birmingham Police Department may be recovered by the owner after a month.

A 48-year-old man living on the 1600 block of Dorchester reported that he noticed his bike, usually parked on the side of his garage, had been stolen. He told police he remembered leaving the bike parked next to his garage on Thursday, June 1, but didn’t realize it was missing until Saturday, July 1.

The $485 bicycle matched the description of a bike already in police custody. According to police, if the man can offer proof of ownership, it will be returned.
