Stolen vehicle found stripped in Detroit

A vehicle stolen from the 1300 block of Stanley in Birmingham on Sunday, June 13, was found completely stripped and left in Detroit the following day, police said.


Birmingham police responded about 6:49 a.m. on Monday, June 14, for an auto theft in the 1300 block of Stanley where the victim said her vehicle was stolen from her drive sometime between 9 p.m. on Sunday and 6:45 a.m. on Monday.


Police said broken glass was found on the drive where the vehicle had been parked. Authorities didn’t disclose the make and model of the vehicle.


Witnesses reported two suspects with flashlights were seen around the vehicle about 2 a.m. At that time, one of the persons entered the vehicle and drove away on eastbound Northlawn.


The vehicle was later found at an undisclosed location in Detroit.
