TCH holds community meeting to gather input
The Community House (TCH) in Birmingham is hosting a community meeting on Wednesday, January 22, to provide an update and gather input from residents on ways the iconic community organization can be returned to its nonprofit mission as TCH works toward a revitalization.
The revitalization effort follows the recent reorganization/release of leadership personnel and the temporary return of former TCH president Camille Jayne on a pro bono basis to help guide the board of directors in a search for a new leader and a return to its nonprofit mission which is being defined as impacting lives through exceptional educational, cultural, and social experiences that provide the means to fund programs that help others.
Current board chair Brad Wolf is serving as acting president and CEO of The Community House while a permanent leader is sought.
The January 22 community meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the TCH facility. The board of directors is donating complimentary appetizers and beverages for those attending the community work session. Camille Jayne is also offering a donation of $20 to the TCH new outreach programs for every person who attends the event.
Prior registration for the January 22 session is requested at communityhouse.com or by phoning 248.644.5832.
