Two men arrested, charged after restaurant fight
Two men were arrested and charged with disturbing the peace by Birmingham police on Sunday, August 27, at 1 a.m. after they started a fight in a restaurant that ended with both of them in the roadway outside.
Birmingham police officers were helping with crowd control outside of a restaurant in the 200 block of S. Old Woodward when they saw two men fighting as they were leaving the restaurant. Police said the fight forced the two into a parked car and then into the roadway until police officers could separate them.
The pair, a 25-year-old male Macomb resident and a 27-year-old Shelby Township resident, were arrested and charged with disturbing the peace. A 57-year old man from Southfield, along with a member of the restaurant's security team, turned up at the police station later in the day to report damage that was done to the man's parked car when the men fell into it.
