Vehicle stolen from Birmingham home

An undisclosed vehicle was stolen on the morning of Thursday, August 5, from a driveway in the 600 block of E. Lincoln Street in Birmingham, police said.

Birmingham police responded about 7:35 a.m. to the report of a stolen vehicle made by a homeowner in the area. The victim said he parked his vehicle in the driveway about 10 p.m. the previous night. He told police he may have left his keys in the vehicle. The victim told officers he received an alert that morning from his bank that his credit card, which had been left in the vehicle, was used fraudulently.

Police said a GPS tracking system showed the vehicle was in Highland Park. However, officers were unable to locate it.
