BRRmingham Blast canceled due to cold temps
The City of Birmingham has canceled its annual BRRmingham Blast event scheduled for tomorrow, (Saturday, January 24) due to extreme cold temperatures forecast for the area. Dad arrested for fighting at son’s hockey game
During a hockey game at the Birmingham Ice Arena on the 2300 block of E Lincoln, two dads of players on the team reportedly escalated an argument to assault and battery charge. The police report states that one of the men shoved the other during the Wednesday. January 14, game leading him to be arrested for assault and battery.

Driver nabbed for felony warrant, marijuana
While driving in Birmingham the night of Thursday, January 15, a Clinton Township man was stopped by police officers for a traffic violation, only to be later arrested on an open felony warrant. Teen arrested in Birmingham shoplifting case
A 16-year-old Highland Park teenager was arrested in Birmingham the afternoon of Friday, January 16, in an alley off Peabody, south of Maple, after allegedly shoplifting over $1,300 worth of merchandise from a store on the 100 block of S. Older male suspect takes pot pie from bakery
Bloomfield Township police on Sunday, January 18, took a report of a retail fraud at the Pie Collective of Bloomfield Hills, 1983 S. Telegraph Road. Employees of the bakery stated that on January 17 at 3:45 p.m. an unknown male suspect came into the store and stole an eight-inch chicken pot pie valued at $10.99. Toyota 4Runner stolen outside Bloomfield Place
The Bloomfield Township Police Department on Sunday, January 18, took a report of a stolen vehicle outside of 1632 Bloomfield Place. The victim stated that his 2024 Toyota 4Runner was stolen overnight between 8 p.m. on January 17 and 11 a.m. on January 18. According to the victim, the vehicle was locked and they were in possession of both sets of keys. This case is currently under investigation by the Bloomfield Township Police Investigations Unit.
