Bloomfield Township police took a report on Saturday, January 10, of potential mail theft in the 4300 block of Risdon Court. The victim stated he submitted two rebates to Menards for $70.22 and $74.57. The victim was notified via Menards that they issued the rebates on December 24, 2025, and was notified via USPS that they were delivered to his mailbox. The victim never received the rebates and believes they were taken. Bloomfield Township is currently investigating this repo

Man throws smoothie at salt truck driver
A subcontractor for a salt service company reportedly had a smoothie thrown at him on Sunday, January 11, near the area of Woodward and Wimbleton in Birmingham, by a Bloomfield Hills man who was mad at the contractor for getting salt on his car. Repeat liquor thief strikes local store again
A 28-year-old Detroit man is being investigated by Birmingham police after reportedly stealing eight bottles of tequila on Saturday, January 3, from a store on the 2100 block of E. Maple. The man has allegedly stolen alcohol multiple times from the store and other stores throughout the county. His latest theft was worth roughly $545. Package of books stolen from Stanley porch
A Birmingham resident living on the 1300 block of Stanley Boulevard is the latest person to report being a victim in a string of porch thefts in the area that took place around mid-December. She reported to Birmingham police on Wednesday, January 7, that a package containing 12 children’s books was stolen on Friday, December 12, off her front porch. She reported the package was worth about $168.
