Teen assaults cop at hair salon

Birmingham police tried to remove a 17-year-old who was eating food in the back of Lady Jane’s Hair Salon, but he became combative and charged at officers, and was arrested.

Officers responded to reports of a suspicious person at the men’s salon located at 35000 Woodward Avenue around 4 p.m. Monday, January 15. When they arrived, they discovered a 17-year-old male eating food in the back of the building where only employees are allowed. The teen refused to leave, and began swearing at officers. He then charged at them.

The boy was arrested for assaulting a police officer and for trespassing.
