Bag of cash stolen from theatre bathroom
A Bloomfield Hills man, while in a movie theatre at the 200 block of S. Old Woodward in Birmingham, allegedly had a bag with $600 in cash stolen on Saturday, December 6, from the theatre bathroom. The man reported the theft to Birmingham police, who stated no suspects had been identified after an initial investigation, but the alleged victim later decided not to continue on with the case.

Local retail theft suspect nabbed in Ann Arbor
Early in the day on Tuesday, December 9, a Detroit woman with a felony arrest warrant issued out of Birmingham was caught and arrested by Ann Arbor police for a similar crime. Storage units broken into but nothing taken
Bloomfield Township police on Monday, December 8, responded to the iStorage Self Storage facility located at 1782 Pontiac Drive for multiple storage units that were broken into. Multiple units had the exterior locks cut and removed, according to the police report. The storage units contained multiple valuable items, but nothing was taken. Stolen Lincoln Navigator recovered in Detroit
Bloomfield Township Police on Friday, December 5, at 7 a.m. took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 2800 block of Chestnut Run Drive. The vehicle, a 2023 Lincoln Navigator, was stolen from the driveway the night prior. Inside the vehicle was the victim’s wallet, gun and identification. The keys were inside the vehicle, but the victim stated they locked the car via the mobile app. The vehicle was later recovered by investigators in Detroit.

Police search for stolen car from Birmingham
Birmingham police are investigating an alleged car theft that took place the night between Saturday, November 29, and Sunday, November 30, on the 500 block of S Glenhurst. According to the owner of the car, his car was left in his driveway overnight, possibly with a set of keys inside, and when he realized the next morning, it was missing, his car’s tracking app placed it in Detroit. Teen caught avoiding parking garage payment
While near the exit to the Peabody Street parking garage in Birmingham on Wednesday, November 26, a city police officer saw a 19-year-old from Warren tail his friend’s car closely to avoid paying the ticket fee for the garage.
